Glenwood Kitchen Ltd takes home top honours

Eugene Brydges and Vestiaire St-Joseph also distinguished themselves

Shediac, NB – The Greater Shediac Chamber of Commerce held, this past Saturday, February 17th, its 6th  Recognition Gala to a packed house at the Shediac Multipurpose Centre.

More than 170 people from the business community, the political arena and the public attended this annual Excellence Awards ceremony hosted by the Greater Shediac Chamber of Commerce.

Glenwood Kitchen Ltd took home top honours, receiving the award for Business of the Year.  This award recognizes a company that contributes to job creation in the region, that is a model for the business community and that demonstrates a commitment to the community.

The award for Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year was given to Eugene Brydges from Shediac Home Hardware that saw significant growth this past year. This award is given each year to an entrepreneur that experiences growth and shows innovation and leadership.

The Organization of the Year award was given to Vestiaire St-Joseph inc., which serves the local population and the less fortunate in the area. This recognition is presented annually to an organization or citizen who stood out in the community.

Lastly, Centre-Ville Shediac Downtown inc. has recognized Mr. Yves Frenette of Frenette Funeral Home as an outstanding entrepreneur who has been operating a business in downtown Shediac for several years and .
